For the first time since anyone in this beautiful Oxfordshire village can remember, the George is now a freehouse and the latest addition to the family-run Oak Taverns pub group.

With Rodney & Hannah in charge, we’re looking forward to sharing all the charm and warmth of this Grade II listed 16th century pub with anyone who values the traditional, unspoilt English country pub experience.

We don’t do meals as such, but we’re pleased to offer a range of high quality snacks to complement our range of excellent real ales, craft beers and ciders, and carefully selected spirits and wines.

We hold regular Tuesday evening quizzes and we’re generally doing everything we can to put this much-loved pub back at the very heart of the village community it serves.
